Private equity funds have played an important role in providing liquidity to our financial system and improving the efficiency of capital markets. But as their role has grown, so have the risks they pose. Keeping the current economic situation in mind, is the orthodox ways of evaluating the funding for the growing organizations appropriate?

We believe process of valuation has to evolve. SCMHRD provides the platform to present your ideas and get the latest insights from the industry during its annual Finance Summit Finachè ’14 on 25th January 2014. 

There are prizes worth Rs. 70,000 up for grab including live projects by Corporate Bridge.

The competition will include three rounds. The first two rounds will test the teams on business and financial knowledge and will be eliminative in nature. Top 6 teams after this two rounds will be invited to the SCMHRD campus to present the case solution in front of esteem panel of judges comprising academicians and companies representatives.

Details about three different rounds are given below:

“Quiz byte” – Round 1

 This is an online quiz to test the business and economical prowess of participants across all B-schools in India. This quiz will be conducted on 9th January 2014 at 10 PM.

 

 “Wire-Tap” – Round 2

In this round all the teams will be tested upon their ability to have an eagle-eye observation to analyse and provide solution to the given case within given time. 

 

“ The Last Stand”- Round 3

Top Six teams will qualify for the finals and will present their solution on 25th January, 2014, to the panel of eminent judges.

 

Rules & Regulations:

·        Each team will comprise of 2 members from the same institute. 

·        A student cannot be part of more than one team.

·        One team can submit only one entry.

·        Only students of full time MBA can register.

·        All the teams qualifying for the finals will be given reimbursement of for their travel to Pune.

Round 1 (Online Quiz):       9th January, 2014 (2200 Hrs onwards)
Round 1 (Results):            10th January, 2014
Round 2 (Online Case):      11th January, 2014
Round 2 (Results):            12th January, 2014
Case Declaration :            12th January, 2014
Case solution Deadline:     17th January, 2014
Final Round (on Campus)    25th January, 2014
